Mission: The Fall of the House of Lyo
Location: Krios: House of Lyo - Transporter Room
Timeline: MD 10: 0800 hours

Max had already talked to his Chief Engineer and discovered that the Heisenberg Compensator had failed, but whether or not it was intentional was now part of the investigation by Security. He looked up, knowing Dove was still working in the room with them.

Commander McEntyre entered with Lieutenant Wara. Max smirked to himself. ’Wait until he gets a real shot of Wara,’ he thought regarding the Bolian with an attitude.

“Commander,” Max said, acknowledging the massive Caitian. “I know you’ve been serving here for some time, and despite joining the crew as our new Security and Tactical Officer, I need you to continue serving the Lyo’s as well. Despite this tragedy still looking like an accident, I’d like you and Wara to tell me what happened here before the explosion. Is there a visual recording?”

"I've put in a request for the visual recordings from the day of the accident, see if we can't shed light on who may have sabotaged the Heisenberg Compensator."

The Caitian started.

"As for continuing to serve the Lyo's, Admiral Albion has instructed that I remain close to Commander Lyo, acting as personal security, per Starfleet's Diplomatic Security regulations for foreign dignitaries serving as Starfleet Officers."

Without much explanation, Max responded, “I’ll also be acting under the same orders. I’ll be very close to Commander Lyo throughout our time here.” Max made no mention of a possible relationship that was beginning between them.

“As far as we know, this has been an accident, Commander. That said, your instinct that there’s more to it might be correct.”

“Captain, since Commander McEntyre has requested, and not yet received the visual and audio recordings, shall I make the request?”

Max looked at the Bolian. She was basically asking if she could break some fingers or knock some heads about. “If traditional methods aren’t receiving a proper and timely response, I will leave that to Commander McEntyre. Make sure he understands what methods you intend to use and don’t get caught.”

Wara nodded. “That goes without saying. Commander, we have a lot of work ahead of us…”

Clay nods. "Of course, L.T. I'm looking forward to working with you, Ms. Tete."

“If you don’t mind, sir, I prefer Lieutenant Wara or simply Wara. I have never been particularly attached to my last name. I am told that it means ‘head’ in an old Earth language.

“As the Captain has alluded, my methods are to, again, as humans say, ‘bust them’. Them being heads, sir. I am not above breaking some…rules. And some fingers…” Wara stood tall, her chin held high. She was not going to shy from her methods and she assumed Captain Culver approved of them, so long as she didn’t go too far.

“And some balls too,” Max added dryly. “I want video if we have video. I want audio if there is audio. I give you permission, shy of damaging anyone permanently,” Max paused as he looked from one to the other, “I hope that’s clear.” He openly gazed at Wara here.

"I think you and I are goin get along smashingly, L.T. Busting heads sounds like a good idea to me." Clay grinned at the group, flexing his mighty muscles.

“Just remember, you’ll need one conscious person to get the video from. I want the unedited version. I recommend you look for the first guy that pisses his pants. Nothing of this is to be said to or around the new Lord Lyo, and that’s an order that he can’t countermand as you are both under my direct order now. Clear?”

“As crystal, Captain,” Wara offered her typical response. “Or so say the humans.” She offered a wry smirk and a wink.

She linked her arm with Clay’s, the brutish looking felinoid. “I hear there’s a lot a man like you can show a girl like me on Krios. Why don’t we take a stroll through this house? I’d love to see what they get up to in the recording room…”

"It would be my pleasure"

Clay linked his arm around hers, he could play straight for a bit, for the mission.

Wara tilted her head way back to lock eyes with him. She offered him the same smirk and wink. They were now co-conspirators in the making.

“Hey!” Max stopped them and tossed a small triangular device their way. “You’ll be needing this.”

Wara caught the device and gazed at it. They weren’t supposed to exist, except the captain had just thrown one to her. The device would suppress a recording of their activity within the house.

Clay nodded in understanding, before turning to Wara. "Shall we?"

“Well, I do declare, I thought you would never ask,” Wara responded. It had been some time since she’d been able to knock some living people around.
