Mission: Home Sweet Home
Location: La Folié Nightclub, Capital City
Timeline: MD1: 2000 hours local time

The bar that was suggested to the ladies was hopping. It was a traditional night-club style place-darkly lit, big round tables, a big dance floor. It was filled to the brim with people-most of whom look perfectly humanoid so Vila assumed they were locals.

She was dressed to kill-tight strapless silver dress, adorned with sequins, matching stiletto shoes with a silver sequined bow on top, and not much else. Her ridges were highlighted in blue powder, and simple jewelry completed the look. She was here with a mission in mind-to find the most eligible person and then have a really good time back in her quarters with said person.

"Ok, ladies. Let's stick together for now, we'll vet each other's dates and then go from there," the Bajoran said. She immediately headed for the bar, and ordered up a Springwine for herself.

Of course S'tera was there with Rena. "Man this place is hopping! I think this will be fun, honey!"

Rena smiled. "I think so!!" The Betazed woman was dressed less showy than the XO, in a pair of black leather shorts and a lacy top. She wore boots, and silver hoop earrings. "Let's get a drink!" She said to S'tera.

Aurora wasn't sure where to look first! She'd chosen to wear a dark green body suit with a cape and black calf length black boots...kinda like a 'Men In Tights' type of outfit.

"Yes, Ma'am. Wow! This place is awesome!" Aurora grinned excitedly, handing her cloak to the doorman.

Lissa didn't really know the other women that well, but figured this was as good a time as any to get to know them. She had on a form fitting dark purple top that made a deep V down the front and flowing mustard colored pants that moved like a summer dress around her legs and glittery high heeled sandals. Both colors looked vibrant against her green Orion skin. "Yes, stick together. You never know who is gonna be at these things."

Charlie wore a short dress in mottled jewel tones that fell off her shoulders. "I don't care about picking up a date. It just feels good to get out and off the ship for a stretch," she said taking a moment to pin her long hair off of her face.

Vila nodded, her hand now carrying a large glass of Springwine. She wasn't supposed to be drinking, at least not as much as she planned to-Dr. Greene had warned her that the Antabuse would make her ill. She didn't necessarily believe it-nothing had worked yet.

The band striking up a lively tune caught Aurora's attention..

"Anyone wanna get on the dance floor for a few minutes?" Aurora asked.

Dovenice appeared out of nowhere and set her glass of Queasy Quasar on the table, "I'll dance with you - but I only waltz," she said. She was kidding about only knowing how to waltz, but her dance background tended to the formal.

"Hi, Dovenice! Sure! I guess I'd better warn you as well...I'm lousy at formal dancing, so you'll have to lead," Aurora giggled as she stood.

Rena turned to S'tera. "Food first or dancing?" She asked her girlfriend. "Commander, this is already fun!" She smiled at Vila. Vila nodded.

"Oh dancing! Let's dance!" She had on a green dress that was elegant and tasteful. It accentuated her curves just right. She had been looking forward to this. "Come my love. Let's show them how it's done!" She took Rena's hand as they started to dance.

Rena pulled S'tera closer, swaying with the music. "This is so nice," she said. "I have the first two days off. We can do anything you want!" she told S'tera.

"Wow! Two whole days! I can think of a thousand things we could do. Do you have anything in particular in mind?"

Rena nodded. "Doctor Greene says that the canoeing is nice at the nearby lake," she said. "Maybe that. And shopping!" She said. "Anything that doesn't involve looking after Max for at least twenty four hours," she said, with a sigh.

"I bet you need a break from that! Canoeing and shopping sound like a good start for sure! Maybe take in a movie or maybe a live show. Haven't seen a live show in ages! Been busy with work!" Her tail flicked back and forth as she gazed into Rena's beautiful eyes!

"Thanks." Vila approached Lissa and Charlie. "Hello ladies. Get yourselves a drink, and join us at the table or dance a bit," she said. She made her way to the table in question and settled in. She planned to eat enough to sustain her for the next several weeks. Vila LOVED food, of all kinds. Besides, it'd buffer the alcohol.

Vianola had seen the assortment of clothing the women of her ship had decided to wear. An eclectic mix to be sure, all different colours and styles and for a moment it made her smile at such a diverse group of people she had recently joined.

Kaitos was the same for the most part, their values enlightened from many millennia of life and around them all sorts of relationships between people took place. She could swear she even saw someone sitting on the knee of a Gorn.

Vianola had decided for comfort over style, but keeping in style with that of the El Aurian, or Kaitosan people... a term most were still getting used to. She wore a shimmering top with an ivy pattern, it almost seemed alive by how it moved. Her lower half she was wearing some tight fitting darker trousers to offset the bright top and on her feet she wore comfortable shoes. Her hair was loose and hung either side of her head.

"Better be careful." Vi teased Aurora and Dovenice. "Some dances might bring those who want to court you out of the woodwork." she smiled as she took a sip of her drink.

"Oh, I seriously doubt that will be an issue for me," Dove answered. "But I'll watch out for Aurora."

Aurora blanched for a moment, not having thought of THAT possibility, but then laughed good naturedly and gave a half bow to both women.

"I'll stay out of trouble, Ma'ams, promise!" Aurora smiled, offering her hand to Dove.

Aurora was excited to get to dance again! She'd not danced since...Aurora shook her head. That was in the past, and it was NOT going to interfere with her life anymore!

Aurora decided to take off her shoes so she could learn the steps better...a trick she'd learned at the Accademy. The band started to play a tune Aurora knew.

"Alright! I love this song!" Aurora whooped.

"It's not a waltz; time to improvise," Dove added while following her tall dance companion to the main floor.

"Eyup!" Aurora nodded excitedly as she stepped onto the dance floor.

Vila watched as the others arrived from her perch in the back. She was planning to drink too much, and take home a faceless El Aurian, hopefully one old enough to know what a lady liked. She watched the others dance a bit, glad they were having fun. She picked at the appetizer she'd ordered-a small portion of Hesperat soufflé with some bread.

"You're not going out and joining them?" Lissa asked, digging into her own food, ghost pepper and mozzarella bites.

Vila shook her head. "No," she answered. Nothing more was shared. She had ordered a charcuterie plate, and it arrived then.

Despite not being one for crowds and parties, Morgan made the effort to get gussied up for the evening. A flowing gown of stunning Tholian Silk and Centaurian fashion. They didn't let people know that this was their tradition court dress for when they had to do royal functions on Alpha Centauri.

They beamed down and quickly they spotted the group and walked over to join them.

"So what do you do in your free time?" Lissa asked. "I mean if you have any, right."

"Exactly," Vila said. "I usually spend most of my time in my quarters, preparing for the next day, or catching up on sleep. Putting out proverbial fires," she said. She left out any extracurricular activities including copious amounts of alcohol.

She looked up as Morgan came over. "Hello," she said. "You look nice," she said. "Do you know Lieutenant Kerr here?" she asked.

"Hi, I'm Lissa," the half-Orion officer stated, holding a hand up in a friendly wave.

"Morgan, how is everyone tonight?" Morgan asked with a smile, a big kitty grin as she stood with the rest of the ladies from the Intrepid.

Brix entered the bar in an aqua blue colored dress that seemed to emphasize her green skin, but she immediately felt uncomfortable. She sort of stood on the steps and wondered why she had come. These women didn’t know her, she was the captain’s gopher. ’What was I thinking?’ she wondered.

The Bolian security officer walked in behind her and grabbed her arm, dragging her into the bar. Wara had chosen a strapless, yellow dress that dropped to her feet, but left a slit that followed her thigh to her matching yellow stiletto shoes, lined with Tholian silk so her feet never felt tired.

“Let’s start with a drink first, Brix. Then you can worry about the ladies with a little bit of liquid courage in your veins. “I’ll have two lemon drops and then we’ll follow that with a Malibu Bay Breeze cocktail, heavy on the Malibu.” Wara waved at the other ladies from the bar while smiling like she owned the place.

“You don’t let these women see fear or hesitation. You are just as valuable as any one of those women. With the exception of Counselor Rena, you’re the only woman who keeps that man on any kind of schedule, gets his coffee and keeps his ADHD ass in a seat until he’s done with what he should do.”

“You wanna worry about sharks swimming around you when you’re the Megalodon, girl.”

Brix held up her shot and tipped it to click Wara’s before they both downed the shot. “You’re right. What am I doing being intimidated? I’ll take these women down!”

“Whoa!!” Wara laughed. “Maybe take it back a bit and start with hello. After the Malibu.”

Brix’s eyes scanned the room. Maybe you’re right…” They laughed together.

Vila was already bored, and annoyed at the lack of eligible men at the place. She stood up, and crossed to their server. After a few moments conversation, the woman returned to the table.

"Let's move on, if you want. The guy said there's a bigger party at a nearby Disco," she said. "More men. And ladies, if that's how you swing," she said, to the folks gathered at the table.

She approached the dance floor, and passed the message to the rest of the women and Dr. Mack. She returned, got her things, and headed for the door, waiting for no one. She had a mission-find a faceless man, shag him stupid, and leave him behind in a week.
