Mission:
Short Treks
Location: Holodeck 1
Timeline: MD-22
Rena, as always, had big plans for the Winter Holiday season. The FOP ran mostly on the Earth's calendar, recognizing other members' holidays and celebrations as they came up, and Rena did her best to acknowledge and honor these.
Same for the winter, gift-giving ones. So to that end, she stood there now, in the middle of the Holodeck. It had been changed to look like Dickensian London. Specifically, an old Victorian parlor, in a warm home, where they could dance, play games, eat, and be merry to their hearts' content.
She herself was wearing a red-and-white striped shirt and white skirt, and held a festive glass of red wine. She waited now for the others to appear, while having the computer play traditional Christmas music.
Of course S'tera wouldn't dream of missing any party Rena put on. She had become acquainted with the holiday at the Academy. It was cute and some of the traditions were very nice. The mistletoe thing was kinda strange, as the plant itself was poisonous, but the idea of having an excuse to kiss Rena was very nice. She came in wearing a sexy, low cut gown, red with green trim in keeping with the season. "Hello Rena, darling!"
Rena smiled. "Hey," she said, sidling up to S'tera to give her a kiss. "You look great!" she said. "Get a drink while we wait."
"You got it sexy lady!" her tail flicked back and forth as she took a glass of red wine. "So what's on the agenda for tonight?"
"Dinner, then dancing or games, and music. Whatever people want to do. No snowball fights this year, though," she said.
Mathias had received the 'invitation' or he thought it may have been an order. Not knowing what to wear, he didn't pack any formal wear besides his dress uniform, he pulled out what he considered appropriate slacks and shirts, then decided to put on a vest. He left his quarters, took a turbolift down to the holodeck. He stepped off the turbolift, walked to the holodeck door, and when it opened, he walked in. He took in the scenery, surprised at the deal. He started walking around, looking for any of the crew.
It wasn't long before he found one. Doctor Frasier Greene supporting a knitted Christmas jumper decorated with glittery snowflakes and ripped jeans greeted the new officer warmly. "Mathias, how are you?" he asked. "Settling in well?"
"Yes, doctor, I am." Mat looked around the area. "Is the Captain here? I'd like to check in." He picked up a glass of water and took a sip. "How are things in sickbay?"
"That's good to hear," Frasier replied before looking around in case he'd missed Vila. "I don't believe the Captain is here yet, though I'm sure she'll be here shortly. I wouldn't worry about the formalities too much this evening is supposed to be relaxing, unless Rena insists on a rematch from last year's snowball fight." He smiled at the memory. "Sickbay has been relevantly quiet thankfully. Come by tomorrow for your routine boarding exam. But there's no rush," he assured.
Mathias nodded at the doctor. "I'll be there sometimes between 0800 and 1000 hours, if that is convenient for you."
"Of course," Frasier replied. "Until then, in the meanwhile I hope you enjoy the evening." He gave the new officer a curt not before crossing to pop up bar in the search for something to drink.
Mathias started walking around to see if he could spot the captain.
Kaydren entered the holodeck with a red Christmas sweater - the ugly kind he was informed he had to wear - and a Santa hat, also included in the must wear category. He had a small bag with candy canes, part of his own research. Aside from the few senior officers already gathered, he didn’t really know anyone.
So much had changed on the ship in the last year. Aurora had left, the CO had gone missing, the Bajoran was made commanding officer and, now, he had heard, a new officer was going to take her place. At least that was the scuttlebutt.
Mathias held a glass of water. He usually didn't drink anything alcoholic. No reason, just a personal choice. He looked around at what crew was here.
Kaydren looked up at the tall human. The new second officer, apparently. He was easily twice the height of Kaydren, but that was usually the case with most species in Starfleet. The little blue creature sidled up to the man, thinking to get a feel for the new arrival.
“Another year, another holiday party at the end. What’s to celebrate?” the S’ti’ach asked casually as he snatched a glass of something called eggnog. It was one thing he found he liked from the alien traditions.
Mathias didn't notice the blue furred creature until it spoke. "Old Earth tradition, called Christmas. A time for people to gather with family and celebrate the old year and looking forward to upcoming year."
“S’ti’achi spend all year with our families. We live in pods, groups of immediate family, sometimes so long as great-great-grandparents. It’s unusual for us to separate from them, but I chose a different path,” he responded.
"That's interesting. There are some cultures on Earth that live somewhat similar to your culture." Mathias responded. I choose Starfleet as my path."
As was his wont to be, Rylen Lyo was dressed in head to toe elegance. He wore a midnight blue tunic woven with a subtly iridescent thread from the Vissian system that only catches the light at certain angles. To accompany that, he donned form-fitting black trousers made from thread spun by the Lactran snow spider, along with soft-soled black leather shoes. He strolled into the Holodeck, surveyed the crowd briefly, and headed for the bar.
The Executive Officer has never understood the holiday that Terrans called ‘Christmas.’ On Krios, organized religion has been supplanted over three millennia ago, back when the planet’s Age of Reason was beginning. Lyo did appreciate a party as well as anybody else though; he had provided several bottles of some difficult-to-obtain spirits to help keep the mood light and festive.
"Thank you, Commander Lyo," Rena said, graciously. "As usual, you look lovely. Please help yourself to food and drink. We're just waiting for a few more people, and the Captain, too," she said. She turned to Kaydren. "Hello," she said. "How are you?" She asked. Her role as Counselor and Aide de Camp was one she took seriously. "I haven't seen you in awhile. Come see me sometime," she said.
TAG: Kaydren and Lyo
"Commander," Frasier nodded to the XO in greeting as they stood shoulder to shoulder at the drinks table. "These are intriguing," he signalled to the collection Lyo had provided. "Any recommendations?"

A few moments later, Vila came in, looking slightly flustered. "Christmas" wasn't a thing on Bajor, either, and she'd only really been celebrating it half-heartedly until her divorce. It had been important to Ben, but never to her. Still, she always looked forward to a party, and seeing Frasier. By now, she'd realised that people knew but they still kept it professional and private-or tried to.
She came in, quietly. She wore a simple dress with long sleeves in green and white stripes, with red shoes to match the theme. She had been trying out wearing civvies to social things instead of her uniform in an effort to be more relaxed. She paused a moment, and then stopped at the drink's table to say hello.
"Hello, Rena," she said. "Commanders," she said. "Lieutenants," she said, finally, to Kaydren and M'Nia.
“Hey boss lady,” Kaydren replied casually. “Glad you joined us for another human holiday,” he said, his tone sounded more gruff than he intended.
Frasier smiled at the Captain's greeting in an attempt to remain neutral and observed the way she dealt with the rather informal tact by Kaydren.
Vila simply shook her head. The stia'ach was irritating but she knew he was good at his job and the others liked him. "Slow down, Kaydren," she said, gently.
Mathias walked up to the captain. "Lieutenant Commander Mathias Bjornsson, reporting for duty, captain."
Vila laughed lightly. "No need for that right now," she said. "Nice to meet you; come by my ready room tomorrow," she said. "This is Dr. Frasier Greene, our Chief Medical Officer," she said, indicating the man at her side. "And Lieutenant Rena Campbell, our Counselor, and person responsible for this party," she said. "And our chief Engineer, Lt. M'Nia," she said, indicating the Caitian who stood nearby. "Feel free to get some food and drink and introduce yourself to the others."
“Here,” Kaydren said, handing a glass of eggnog to the new Second Officer. “I’ll introduce you around, if you want,” he added.
Vila smiled. That would keep him out of her hair and her out of his. "Good idea!" She looked up at Frasier and smiled. Crises of personalities-adverted
Mathias took the eggnog, even though he had no desire to drink it. "I had the pleasure of meeting the doctor earlier." He nodded to the counselor and engineer. "I look forward to our discussion in your ready room, tomorrow." He turned and walked away, Kaydren by his side.
Vila nodded. "See you then," she said.
Still at the table Frasier smirked as the others moved off to mingle: "I'm not sure how'd play it if I'd been in his shoes," he said. "I'd properly be so nervous at meeting the Captain and her senior staff I'd downed some of these and blur out the rest of the evening."
Vila raised an eyebrow. "What does that mean? I am lovely," she said, and then rolled her eyes playfully. "A drink, doctor?" She asked him. She was still careful to act professionally with him in public places, but these days, she stood a little closer, and let her guard down just a tiny bit.
"That you are," Frasier winked. "I already have one," he lifted his glass to show her. "Lyo bought a selection of high end items for the occasion.
"Oh, right!!" Vila said. She poured herself a sparkling...something, and settled in next to Fraiser.
Mathias started walking around the 'party'. If someone stopped him to talk, he would chat with them. Basic small talk about where he was from, what was he experience about the academy, and what were his hobbies. Mat tried to be friendly. He continued walking and he was stopped by 3 women. He had wandered under some mistletoe, and they said he had to kiss them. Since he was taller than them, unless they carried a ladder, he had to lean over so they could kiss his cheek. The last woman, when Mat leaned towards her, she grabbed his face and kissed him on the lips!! Passionately! There was some tongue action on her part. When she was done, she thanked him, then off they went.
He continued walking but made sure to avoid anymore mistletoe.
Mathias kept walking, oblivious to his surroundings. He bumped into a woman who almost appeared out of nowhere. He reached out to grab her. "I'm sorry." He looked at her. She was beautiful. Long black hair and greenish blue eyes.
The woman smiled at this handsome man. "No damage done. I should have kept my eyes open. You're such a large man, I'm surprised I didn't see or sense your approach." When he had grabbed her to prevent her from falling, she had grabbed his muscular right arm. After a few seconds, she let go. "I'm Kara Vex. I run the restaurant with my sister. And you are?" She hadn't backed away from him.
"Mathias Bjornsson. 2nd officer and helm officer."
She could see his Lieutenant Commander strips on his ship sleeve. "How about we go to the restaurant, and buy you a drink to celebrate our meeting?"
"Are you a Betazed?" Mat asked curious.
Kara smiled at him. "Yes. Does that scare you?"
"Not in the slightest. They do have drinks here if you prefer."
"A drink is a drink regardless of the surroundings." She took his arm in hers. She felt his muscle. "My, what strong arms."
They walked to a table and got a drink.
Kara raised her head and smiled. "My sister is approaching." Entering, Kara's twin sister, identical twin sister, approached. Kira walked over and gave her sister a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Then she looked at Mat. Smiling approvingly, "And who is this Adonis, sister."
Kara sat close to Mat. "This is Lieutenant Commander Mathias Bjornsson, ship's second officer and helmsman. Kira pulled a chair over and sat on the opposite side of the table, close to Mat. "I approve sister. Wish I saw him first."
Kira looked at Mat and smiled. And no taking her gaze from him, "Sister, I think the of us should adjoin this meeting and return to our quarters for a private drink. Do you agree?"
Kara knew what her sister was suggesting. "I eagerly agree, sister."
Mat was puzzled by what they were saying. "What is it you are suggesting?" he asked.
Kara smiled at Mat. "That you should join us for drinks in our quarters. Does that interest you?"
Mat looked at the sisters and started to realize what they were suggesting. "It does interest me."
"Wonderful." Kira stood up, then Kara stood. They walked to Mat's chair and as he rose, they each took an arm and led him towards their quarters.
Vila watched the crew as they began to interact. She was happy they were all here; bonding things were important, after all. She turned to Frasier. "Do you know who those women are with the helmsman?" She asked him.
"No," the Doctor answered his gaze shifting towards the unfamiliar women as they passed. "I can't say I do. They must have been approved, otherwise how did they get here?"
When the women and Mat entered the women's quarters, they escorted him to the couch, had him sit, then they sat on each side of him. They started to rub his arms, then his chest. Then they removed his tunic. Then they removed his pants and [The deleted parts are rated X for mature audiences only. ;-D]
2 hours later, they were on one of the sister's beds. They were laying on either side of him. They were all naked. They were exhausted. "Good thing these rooms are soundproof, otherwise your screaming would have alerted security."
Kira lightly slapped him on his arm. "Fresh boy. But truthfully, that was the best sex we have ever had." Kara agreed.
Mat sat up. "I have to get ready, I'm on duty in 30 minutes."
Kara straddled him. "No, we won't let you leave."
"Sorry ladies, I really have to go." Mat gently moved her and stood up, grabbing his clothes, and headed for the bathroom.
In bed, they could hear the sonic shower working. "Should we go join him?" Kara asked. "No. We can't let him get into trouble. There will be other nights."
The comm panel beeped. "Hanger bay to Kira and Kara." Kira grabbed her robe and wrapped it around her. "This is Kira." "This is Ensign Franks. A shuttle docked and a woman stepped off. She claims to be your sister. I'll calling to verify." "Let me see her." Kira answered. The picture changed and showed a young girl. It indeed was their younger sister, Jeri. "Ensign. That is indeed our sister. Please escort her to our quarters. Thank you." Kira closed the channel and turned to her sister. "What is she doing here?"
"We'll soon find out."
10 minutes later Jeri arrived. The sisters hugged. "What are you doing here? Does mother know?"
"She does. I'm 21 now and I want to see the universe." Jeri looked around. "You two had sex last night, didn't you?"
Kira answered, "Yes, we had a gentleman caller." She smiled.
Jeri was shocked. "You two shared a man?"
Kara nodded. "Yes, we did. He is a very strong human. We're hoping for more nights together."
Just then, Mat exited the bathroom, not expecting a third woman." I hope I'm not interrupting." Mat looked at the newcomer. She was as lovely as the two of them.
KIra spoke, "This is our sister Jeri."
Jeri gazed at the human. She thought he was handsome and strong, she now can see why her sisters picked him.
"I'm Mathias Bjornsson."
Jeri went over and shook his hand. She felt a charge about him. "Pleased."
"Well, excuse me, I'm on duty in 10 minutes. Ladies." He turned and left.
As he walked out the door, Jeri looked at her sisters. "Is he as good as I can sense from you two?"
"And more.: Kira smiled. "So why are you here?"
"I reached the age of choice. I want to work with you in the lounge. And I'm still a virgin and I want that to change." Jeri paused thinking of Mat.
Kara sensed what she was thinking. "He might be too.......powerful for you. We can find a more suitable choice for you."
Jeri shook her head. "I want him."
The next day, after Mat had finished his tour, he received a message from Kira to meet her and her sister, in the not quite finished space where their restaurant will be. Mat stepped into the turbolift and when the doors opened, he walked the few steps to what will be the ship's restaurant. He saw Kira talking to a worker, so he walked over and waited. When she was done with the worker, she turned her attention to Mat. "I'm glad you came." She pulled him to a more isolated spot, so they wouldn't be heard. "You met my sister Jeri last night. She's our youngest sister. She just turned 21 and she decided that she wants to work in the restaurant. That's not so bad, but the thing is...she's s virgin and she wants you to be her first lover."
Mat was stunned. "You're serious?"
Kira nodded. "Very serious."
"What do you think about it?" Mat asked.
"She's an adult now, and she can make her own decisions. I just wish it wasn't you she wanted."
"You want me to talk to her? Maybe I can get her to change her mind." asked Mat.
Kira shook her head. "Once she decides something, there's nothing that can change her mind. But if you want to try, go ahead."
"Tell her I'll come to her quarters tomorrow after my shift. I'll try to let her down easy."
Kira nodded. "I'll tell her."
Mat stood at the door of Jeri's quarters. It was 1900 hours. He rang the door chime. The door opened and there stood Jeri, wearing a form fitting dress.
"Please, come in Mat." she said. Mat walked in towards the middle of the room, he turned around and Jeri was right in front of him. She threw her arms around his neck and kissed him, on the mouth.
Matt, stunned momentarily, pushed her back carefully. "We need to talk." He motioned to the couch. She sat down at one end, he moved to the other end. When he sat, she suddenly moved towards him. "We should talk." said Mat.
Jeri said, "Oh, I agree. Some people feel very uncomfortable when it comes to sex."
"That's just it, Jeri, I don't think we should have sex. I know you are 21 now and to wish for me to take your virginity. You don't have to do that. It is not unusual for women to remain virgins well after 21. You should take the time and look for a more suitable partner."
"But I found one already." She started slipping off her dress. "You have been with my sisters, and I want to be with you." She stood and let the dress drop to the floor. She stood there naked. "Or is it that I'm not as pretty as my sisters."
"No. You are very lovely. I'm sure that there are dozens of young men who would want to be with you." She sat next to him. He could feel the heat of her body. She leaned over and kissed him again. Her bare breasts rubbed against his uniform tunic. "I don't want dozens of young men, I want you."
He tried to resist, but there must have been something about her and her sisters made it impossible to resist. He picked her up and carried her to the bedroom.

Ukram was late. He'd been debating coming; he didn't usually, but something about this celebration seemed important. So he'd donned his best vest with his house's crests, and made his way down to the Holodeck. He entered, the hulking mass of Klingon, wearing a Santa hat. He smiled as he entered, and greeted Rena.
"Hello, Lieutenant," he said, with a nod. "Looks... festive."
Rena chuckled. "Good to see you, Dr. Gocx," she said. "Have a drink, and some food. Mingle!" She suggested, lightly, handing the man a glass of water to start.
He took the glass, looking a bit incredulous. "Thanks."
"You're welcome," Rena said. "Go mingle," she said.
Gocx nodded, and then stiffly made his way towards the Captain and Dr. Greene. He did not "mingle" but he would at least say Hello to the Captain before he left.
"Hello, Ma'am. Dr Greene," he said, with a nod.
VIla smiled. "Hello, Dr Gocx. You look festive," she said. "Getting out a bit?"
The Klingon nodded. "The Counselor suggested it would be good for me to get out of my quarters more often."
Vila nodded. "It can help ones mindset, yes. Having a healthy balance can help make one a better warrior because you have less on your mind."
Gocx was aware of Vila's past, being a guerrilla fighter, and nodded once more. "Yes, ma'am. A warrior must also have growth and change," he said. Vila raised an eyebrow, but nodded back.
"Agreed," she said.
The rest of the night continued, but Vila and Fraiser dipped out about an hour in. Rena noted that most of the others followed suit-she wasn't upset by this-in fact, this had been the best attended party so far. She was finally figuring it out!
