Vila could hear everything as she pressed the buttons for transport to the Quarantine Bay. =/\=Need a power line to the the Pods for transport, Lieutenant =/\= Just then, a large rodent-type animal jumped at her. "AUUUGGHH," she yelled. A moment later, she calmed down-she just was surprised. How cute!!
At the sound of the commander’s scream, Wara was off with two people from her security team before anyone could say a word. She ducked down one tunnel and then another, phasers drawn.
Rounding through the door of the aft compartment, Wara noticed the commander was safe and slowed the two men filling her, “Stand down!” she shouted as the men charged down the corridor toward her.
A few seconds later, the Caitian caught up to the security team. Wara had noted the Commander was okay from a security standpoint and nodded as the female felinoid passed into the small room.
"Calm down, it's OK!! This little guy just jumped out and frightened me," she said, picking up the rodent. "It's Ok. Thank you for coming so quickly," she said. "Here, hold this," she handed the rodent to S'Tera.
"Oh…" S’tera stopped before she said anything else. Didn't want to get in trouble for insubordination, She took the little rodent. "Here now little one. It's ok. Not going to hurt you!"
'It's alright. This little guy startled the commander by jumping out at her. That's all! I think he 's just scared."
“Of all the damn things on this ship,” Wara deadpanned, “it’s still the rats! Always the rats!” she exclaimed.
And Now the Conclusion
Lorut let out a chuckle. "The rats or the men. Sometimes, they're the same," she said. "Return to your tasks, please. S'tera, you can put him down, for Prophet's sake!" Lorut exclaimed.
"Very well Commander." S’tera gently put the little one down. ’Rat?’ she wasn't sure about that! For all she knew, it was a lifeform that was deliberately included in this biosphere.
Lorut tapped her comms, opening a channel back to Intrepid. =/\= Status, Ripley? =/\=
Chet looked up as he heard the commander’s voice. “All is well here, Commander, we’re receiving your specimen and arranging them in their own matching biomes. The ship remains at station keeping.
Operations and Engineering have agreed after a complete assessment that the, uh, stasis pods should not be disconnected from the Helivan ship, so they will wake them there and transport them here. Those two departments are coordinating with Medical to get that done.
How goes it with you, ladies?”
=/\=Thank you. It is well. We're almost done, then I am going to check in on the medical team. How are things on the boat?=/\= she asked.
“Things are going just fine over here. Oh ya! Everything’s going great! Chet said as smoothly as he could. A little white lie never killed anyone, right?
She pressed another button. "S'tera, check the supply closets, please. In case there's more lifeforms in there,"she said. "And ask Aurora to secure the labs. Isolation protocol alpha," she said, absently.
"Of course, Commander." She tapped her combadge, "S'tera to Aurora." Once Aurora answered, she would relay the commander's orders. Meanwhile, she would check out the supply closets to see what there is to see.
=/\= Science will return shortly - Lieutenant S'tera, that is - to meet Lieutenant Aurora. Please let the Captain know I am sending her back alone. We've secured this ship, it's safe. =/\= Vila said, confidently.
"Lieutenant S'tera, when you're ready, please return to the Intrepid, and meet Lieutenant Aurora. Start processing everything. I'll be there as soon as I can," she said. "You might assign a few crewman to assist," she suggested.
"Sounds good. I'm about done here, I think." Now comes the fun part. Going through everything and analyzing it. She made her way back to the Intrepid. She was looking forward to this and to hanging with Aurora too. They always worked well together!
"Excellent. Thank you for your help, Lieutenant." She smiled lightly as the other woman left. She left the now-empty laboratory, and turned off the lights. She returned to the Bridge, where there was now a medical crew gathered. Seemed like they were going to awaken the Pod People here.
