Dinner with S'Tera

Timeline: Shore Leave day 2

"Are you ready?" Rena asked her girlfriend. "We'll be late if we don't beam out shortly," she said. The two women were going to have dinner on Kaitos and then mess around after in the shopping/arts area downtown. It wasn't a super fancy place, as neither she nor S'Tera were fancy, but it was nice, so Rena was wearing a long skirt, matching shirt, and sandals.

"Did you check the menu?" She asked.

S'tera was dressed in a skirt and a nice blouse. "Of course I did my love. They got some nice stuff. The shrimp in particular looks good!"

Rena nodded. "The steak dinner for me, I think," she said. "Let's go!!" She pulled S'Tera along to the transport area, and soon, they were in the restaurant. It wasn't a fancy place, but it did have tables and booths, and actual silverware.

S'tera laughed at Rena. She was so cute sometimes and so anxious to get to the restaurant. it was nice. It would be just right for their date. "C'mon let's grab a seat! Want to sit at a table or a booth?" she asked.

"Booth," Rena answered immediately. They were more intimate. "If that's ok," she said, following the server to a booth nearby. "Can I have an iced tea, please?" She asked, as she sat down.

"Booth is fine. " she sat down with rena. When ordering her drink she said "Same for me only sweetened."

Rena smiled as they climbed into the booth, and the waitress disappeared. "I like the vibe here," she said. "Shore leave has been fun, but I wish that we had more time to spend together," she said. "I wish you weren't leaving tomorrow!" Rena knew about the trip to Krios-how could she NOT, being an empath?! Still, she hadn't said anything to anyone except S'Tera.

"It is nice. i agree. It's a nice place. I'm sorry our time was cut sort darling. I'll have to make it up to you, love! I do value our time together! I hate that I have to leave! You know I'm crazy for you hon!" S'tera said.

Rena smiled. "Me, too!" She said. "IT will be a bit difficult for me, being here, having to run interference between Vila and everyone else," she said. "But the Captain...said you guys will only be gone for about three days, so we will have one more day when you get back to do whatever we want!" She smiled. "And I have plans. A beach cabana!!"

"A beach Cabana? yeah, that sounds like fun! I would like that! Now I have to hurry and come back because I would love to spend time with you at a beach cabana!"

Rena nodded. "Me, too," she said. "I checked them out at the visitor center. They have themes," she said. "Tropical, seaside, and lake," she said. "Tropical would be fun!!" She said. A drink in a coconut, warm sand, and bright colors?! Yes.

"Puurrfect! I love tropical! That would be great hon! I can't wait! A tropical beach cabana, just the two of us!"

Rena smiled but wiggled an eyebrow. "Alright!! I'll arrange it," she said. The waiter appeared and the put in their orders, and while they did, Rena pulled out her PADD and made some notes, reserving the cabana for two. "Ok!! It's ours!" She said.

"Awesome! That will be so special! You, me, a beach cabana! Ought to be a lot of fun. Sand, surf, you! can't get better than that! We can make some sweet memories from that!"

Rena smiled and wiggled her eyebrows. "Indeed!" She laughed. Their food appeared then and then she took a long sip of her iced tea. "I am excited. What else do you want to do this evening?" She asked.

"Oh is that ever a loaded question. Um so many things. We could go dancing, or maybe take in a show. That could be fun! I'm sre we could find one we like."

Rena nodded. "There's a few things going on!! I know that some of the other girls were going to a play," she said. Live entertain was something that Rena struggled with sometimes; her telepathic abilities sometimes interfered with her enjoyment because she could read the nervousness of the actors. "I think it's a retelling of Romeo and Juliette. The person playing Romeo is Klingon," she said.

"Huh. Sounds interesting. Would you like to go see that honey? If not, we can do something else." S'tera wondered if Rena's telepathy would bother her during something like that.

"If you want to go!!" She said. She didn't know if S'Tera might find it boring, though. "If it won't bore you!" She said. She would like to see a show.

'Absolutely! It sounds like fun!" S'tera said with a smile.

"Let's do it," she said. She picked up her fork, and began to eat. "I hope you guys aren't gone too long. I can't keep Vila under control that long," she said. She was giving the Commander a bit of a break because they were on shore leave, but she knew that too long of a break without a session would discourage the woman from continuing.


"Who can keep her under control? well Hopefully it won't take too long. I know I'll miss you and I will hurry back as soon as I can Honey! I cherish every moment with you. So let's enjoy the show!"

Rena laughed. "I don't know," she said. Though she had picked up on a bit of a thing between the XO and the Doc earlier when they'd passed by, but Rena was keeping it to herself for the moment. "Please be careful..." She said. "I know you will be, but still..." she said.

"I appreciate you saying it Rena. It means a lot to hear it. Means you care. I already knew you did but still nice to hear. I will be careful. I promise. Now let's enjoy our evening together."

"Alright!!" She settled back and sipped her wine, and began to eat her dinner. "That's a good idea. And yes. I do care...a lot. I know it's been chaotic this past few weeks, but hopefully things will die down en route to the BQ," she said.

"Well we can hope my love. We can hope!" she sipped her drink and ate her dinner. "It can't be chaotic forever. Well we will take what we can get. Tonight belongs to us!"

Rena smiled an nodded. "Yes, it does!!" She lifted her glass. "Toast to us!"

"To us my love!" she raised her glass to Rena's. Indeed. it would be a wonderful night. Tonight was theirs.

She sipped her drink, and then began to eat her dinner. She went a little quickly; they had PLANS and she was EXCITED.

S'tera gazed lovingly at Her lady love for a few moments and went back to eating. This was going to be a night to remember. She was anxious to get started.

It was quiet for a bit as both women ate, and drank, and thought about the night ahead. And what a night it planned to be. Rena interrupted the silence. "Did you hear that Vila is planning a group activity tomorrow while you're gone? I don't want to go, but Max needs me to stay behind to babysit her," she said. "It's baseball. I don't play baseball," she said, making a face.

"Yeah never cared for ti much myself. The thought of doing anything with Villa doesn't exactly thrill me. Best of luck honey! you'll need it!"

Rena laughed. "Come on, she's doing....a little better," Rena said. She always tried to give people the benefit of the doubt. Though, after seeing the XO drunk and wild last night at the ladies' night, she wasn't so sure. "Anyway. Captain thinks I am of better use here, so." She shrugged. She wasn't so sure.

"Well he is the captain so we will see. Maybe she will get better. If anybody can do it honey, you can."

Rena smiled. "Well, I am going to try," she said. She sighed. "Are you almost done?" She asked. She wasn't trying to rush S'Tera, she was just excited to get the evening started.

'Yeah, just a few bites more and I'm done. This is good stuff!" S'tera responded. "Ok done. I'm ready to go!"

Rena smiled, and then nodded. "Me, too!!" She hadn't eaten much, but that was ok. She would eat a snack later. "Let's gooo." She was too excited about the evening. She stood up, tossed a strip of latinum on the table and led S'tera out.

S'tera took rena's hand and kissed her. "lead on darling!"

Rena kissed her back, and then smiled. "Let's go," she said. They headed off in the direction of the theaters.

S'tera happily followed rena. She was looking forward to this. She of course liked looking at Rena's body. She though rena was beautiful. So very beautiful and sexy.

They arrived at the theater quickly. "You tell me where to go, this is what you wanted to do tonight," Rena said.

"Ok well i reserved some seats close to the front. I hope aisle seats are ok. I think it's going to be great!"

Rena smiled. "Yes, that's good!!" Quickly, they took their seats. She settled in, snuggling close to S'Tera.

S'tera snuggled back and patiently waited for the play to start! She adored Rena and lover her dearly. Spending time like this is very nice. This could be lot of fun for both of them!

Rena settled back, and smiled. "This will be fun, I think," she said. Should they get snacks? No. They just ate. Still. She was nervous.

"Are you thirsty hon? we can order drinks? If not, relax and enjoy the show." she gave rena's hand a little squeeze to reassure her.

Rena smiled. "Not yet," she said. "But you go ahead!!" She said, taking S'Tera's hand. They settled in as the theater went dark. "They're about to start," she said. She could sense the actors' nerves. Theater was difficult sometimes for her-the actors' emotions sometimes got in the way of the feelings the play or music was supposed to impart. She did her best to turn her brain off to others, though.

S'tera got a glass of sweet tea and settled in for the performance. This was going to be great! She knew rena was doing her best to control her empathic abillities. She admired rena for coming to a live performance. Her lady had courage, that's for sure.

Rena smiled as S'Tera got a drink and then settled in next to her. She took her hand. "This is nice," she said, as the lights went down.

"It sure is." she kissed Rena on the cheek. Anytime with Rena was good time. She put her arm around rena as the show started. "If it gets too much for you let em know and we can leave, ok hon?"

Rena nodded. "I will. It'll be ok," she said. Then, the show started. It was a nice play, even though she didn't alway understand what was happening. It was a rendition of West Side Story-she knew the storyline but sometimes they slipped into the local language for a few lines and Rena was lost. Still. She could get the gist.


S'tera enjoyed the show. She had always liked West side story.

Rena smiled as the lights went up. "That was fun!" She said. She enjoyed live shows, even if they were sometimes harder for her to sit through. She stood. "Should we go back to the hotel or do you want to do something else?" She asked S'Tera. "Maybe you could stay with me tonight..." she said, blushing a bit.

S'tera looked deep into rena's eyes! "I'd like nothing better darling!" she took Rena into her arms and kissed her as her tail flicked back and forth forth delight. She loved Rena so very much!

Rena smiled but returned S'Tera's kiss. As they parted after a long moment, she spoke, quietly. "Let's go!" She grabbed S'Tera's hand to make way for the transport Robocar-lift-thing that this planet used to move people from place to place.
