His work on several ships and outposts got him noticed and was promoted to Operations soon after. His goal of becoming a Senior Staff member on a starship was realized when he was named Chief Strategic Operations Officer on Intrepid. Is getting his own command in his future? | Hobbies & Interests | History, reading, baseball, old movies and television programs. Replicated and partially restored a vintage TV set from the early 20th century and has it now permanently housed in his quarters. |
| Personal History | Jared is the middle child of 5 and the only member in Starfleet. Although it’s been several years since he’s seen his brothers and sisters, he remains very close with them, especially his younger sisters. Jared wanted to learn about extraterrestrials and space exploration since reading about Zefram Cochrane and first contact in school. A childhood dream was to travel to Montana and see the monument to Cochrane and see the place where Vulcans first met humans. Before entering Starfleet Academy, Jared was able to visit the Smithsonian Institute and see the Phoenix in person. Rush was accepted at Starfleet at the age of 18, graduating in four years, at 21. He majored in Engineering and minored in Helm and Navigation Ops. |
