| General Overview | Initially, she seems to be a rather friendly and courteous Denobulan, with a big smile on her face. She is a dedicated officer and always puts the effort in. Outside of her interactions with other crewmembers however, she remains suspicious of others and refuses to make friends or receive help. Her personal life has relegated itself to holoprograms that let her stay in control and be around people without letting anybody in. |

| Personal History | Desha was born on Denobula in 2376 in the centre of Lamissia District. As such, she lived in a densely packed environment full of people, and very quickly learned to negotiate with people to get her way. Her parents often likened her to a "Ferengi who bartered with favours instead of latinum". The attacks on Utopia Planitia in 2385, and the shift in Federation culture, influenced her from a young age, and lead to her joining Starfleet at age 16, despite her parent's wishes. Graduating as an Ensign, she served on the USS Luna from 2396 as a junior security officer. There, she earned a reputation among her crewmates as a friendly security officer who could always be relied on to deal with disputes on board the ship in a way that was considered fair to all - or at least, most of the time. In 2399, she was promoted to Lieutenant J.G as Assistant Security Chief aboard the Luna. Notable missions she participated in during this time included the ferrying of a Bolian ambassador to Cardassia, and relocation of Al-Leyan refugees during the decommissioning of Deep Space Four. In 2401, the USS Luna participated in the Frontier Day demonstration. During this event, the Borg launched an attack, resulting in many young Starfleet members being assimilated. Desha was partially affected, but retained control thanks to her Denobulan biology. Despite this, many of the senior officers refused to trust her and left her to fend for herself. She was able to lock herself in a cargo bay with a phaser rifle, and spent the entire time hiding while fighting the assimilation process until the Borg takeover was averted by the crew of the USS Titan. Following the attack, she received a commendation for her bravery in the face of the Borg, and was given a promotion to Lieutenant. Following 8 months of duty on Starbase 1, she accepted a transfer to the USS Intrepid as its new chief of security. |
